Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Clinical Unit Leader – St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital to coordinate patient care on a designated unit. You will work with the Clinical Manager to ensure high-quality nursing practice and patient satisfaction while optimizing resource use.

The role requires an RN license in-state or compact, and a BSN is preferred. A strong focus on collaboration, leadership, and patient safety is essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state they are working or covered by compact (required).
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, must obtain prior to patient care).
• Certifications depending on unit overseen (preferred).
• 2 years nursing experience with 1 year in acuity level of desired area (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care on a designated unit in collaboration with the Clinical Manager.
• Adjust schedules and assignments to acuity and resource changes.
• Provide staff guidance and oversee unit in the absence of the leader.
• Ensure safety, quality and patient experience through rounds and coordination.
