Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Clinical Unit Leader for the Fairfield Hospital, leading the Med/Surg Telemetry Unit. The Lead RN/Charge Nurse coordinates patient care, collaborates with the care team, and ensures efficient operations to deliver high-quality patient experiences.

Required: RN licensure in state or compact, BSN preferred, 2 years nursing with 1 year in acuity-level unit. Strong leadership, communication and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Current RN license in state or compact (required)
• 2 years nursing experience with 1 year in the unit acuity level (preferred)
• Exposure to leadership responsibilities and staff development are beneficial

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care on a designated unit.
• Provide guidance and oversee unit in the absence of the unit leader.
• Maintain safety and infection control standards and communicate with patients and families.
• Mentor and support nursing staff, promote teamwork and open communication.
• Support patient placement, admission, transfer and discharge processes.
