Job summary

Mercy Health in Cincinnati is seeking a Lead RN/Charge Nurse for the Medical Telemetry Unit at The Jewish Hospital to coordinate patient care and lead a team. In collaboration with the Clinical Manager, you will drive excellence in nursing practice and patient experience.

This role requires a BSN (preferred), active RN license, and clinical leadership with emphasis on safety, quality, and collaboration with physicians and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Current RN license in state they are working or compact.
• BLS Basic Life Support preferred upon hire.
• Certifications depend on the unit overseen (ACLS/NRP/PALS etc. preferred).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care on a designated unit with the manager.
• Guide staff, provide clinical support, and supervise the unit in the leader's absence.
• Maintain knowledge of safety standards and infection control; ensure proper supplies.
• Communicate with patients and families about care plans.
• Facilitate patient placement, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Mentor staff and promote teamwork and professional practice.
