Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse II to lead a Care Delivery Team, directing care for a defined group of patients. The CN II demonstrates clinical competency, nursing leadership, and coordinates the nursing care of a specific group of patients.

Precepts new employees as assigned and communicates with diverse staff and patients. This is a full-time role with a 36-hour weekly schedule, 7:00 am–7:30 pm shifts, every other weekend and holidays.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a state-accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure from the state of Ohio as an RN.
• Successful completion of general and unit-specific orientation and hospital probationary period.
• Obtains/maintains a minimum of 12 contact hours of continuing education annually which includes Fire Safety and CPR Re-Certification. ACLS is required.
• Must have theoretical knowledge combined with clinical experience in providing nursing care for a variety of patients. Must be able to communicate well verbally and in writing with people of varying backgrounds.

• Directs care for a team of patients with independent assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of needs.
• Precepts new employees as assigned.
• Demonstrates leadership and coordinates nursing care reflecting competencies across patient age groups.
