Job summary

Raytheon Technologies in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead RF hardware packaging, antennas, RF circuit cards, and test equipment, guiding multidiscipline teams and shaping technology roadmaps.

You will collaborate with customers and program leadership to refine requirements, provide technical oversight, and mentor engineers while delivering high-quality, on-time solutions in a fast-paced defense environment.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 6 years of experience.
• Experience performing design, analysis, and leadership of mechanical products, preferably RF mechanical products.
• Experience with the creation of Technical Data Packages (TDPs) using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) for RF products.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design activities involving RF hardware.
• Lead others by understanding team dynamics and capitalizing on multidisciplined team strengths.
• Lead trade studies to determine best solutions while ensuring cost, schedule, and performance expectations are met.
• Regularly convey task status on complex issues and influence strategic plans across teams.
• Fill any role necessary to help ensure business unit success.
