Job summary

RTX in El Segundo seeks a Principal Antenna Test Engineer specialized in RF/Microwave and AESA integration and testing. Lead a team of test engineers to validate antenna hardware, develop specifications, perform trade studies, and ensure successful test and validation across subsystems.

The role requires troubleshooting RF/Microwave hardware down to component level, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and providing technical, schedule, and cost inputs. Domestic travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM.
• 8+ years of Antenna/AESA Test and Antenna Subsystem Engineering experience.
• Troubleshoot RF/Microwave Antenna/AESA hardware, software, and build/process issues to component levels.
• Experience with RF design metrics: Noise Figure, Linearity, S-Parameters, Gain, Directivity, Output Power, Sidelobes, Rogue Oscillations.
• Experience with RF test equipment: Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal & Pulse Generators, Oscilloscopes.
• Active and transferable US Government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of test engineers to validate Antenna (AESA) hardware.
• Develop specifications, trade studies, hardware integration, and test/validation.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and RF issues to subsystem level.
• Provide technical, schedule, and cost inputs to management.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify antenna range upgrades and repairs.
