Hibbett I City Gear is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily store operations and customer service excellence in Pell City, AL. You will oversee merchandising, restocking, scheduling, and staff development while maintaining store standards.

You will assume store leadership in the Store Manager's absence and promote merchandise with strong sales and service focus in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits.
• Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with precision.
• Team-player, passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Consult with Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume responsibility of the entire store in the Store Manager's absence.
• Assist in personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments as needed.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to help profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure department responsibilities and standards are met.
• Maintain quality customer service per company manuals and policies.
