Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear is seeking an Assistant Manager for our Fairfield, Alabama store. You will assist the Store Manager in daily operations, drive sales, and ensure excellent customer service.

You will gain exposure to merchandising, scheduling, and staff development while upholding company policies and store standards. This role requires leadership in the absence of the Store Manager, attention to inventory and expenses, and a focus on profitable store performance.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage a team and meet goals and profits.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Consult with Store Manager to set action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume store responsibility in the Store Manager's absence.
• Participate in personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales, and expenses to ensure store profitability.
• Direct staff to meet department goals and standards.
• Maintain awareness of inventory movement and customer trends.
• Ensure quality customer service is maintained.
• Perform general administrative duties and learn Store Manager responsibilities.
• Deliver extraordinary customer service per the customer service manual and assist during peak times.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise offered by Hibbett I City Gear.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures as directed.
