Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Cashier/Stocker to perform front-end and stockroom duties, lead in the absence of store leadership, and provide exceptional customer service. You will unload trucks, stock and rotate merchandise, maintain displays, and assist with plan-of-gram execution while protecting assets.

Responsibilities include operating a cash register, handling payments, keeping the front end organized, and supporting store cleanliness and safety to maximize profitability and customer

Qualifications

• Requires ability to perform basic math operations for transactions and change
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability
• Familiarity with IBM cash register functions and POS systems
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandising guidance
• Demonstrated customer service and communication skills
• Understand safety policies and procedures

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks according to store procedures
• Receive, open, and unpack shipments
• Stock, rotate, and face merchandise on shelves
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance
• Operate cash register and process payments
• Provide superior customer service and answer inquiries
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety
• Open/close duties as directed by Area Manager
• Monitor cash levels and assist in cashier accountability
