Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Cashier/Stocker to support store operations, lead in the absence of store leadership, and provide exemplary customer service. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.
• Knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies and practices.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise; maintain plan-o-grams and displays.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise and answering questions.
• Operate cash register and scanner; bag merchandise and make change.
• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, restrooms, and stockroom.
• Open/close store under direction of Area Manager; sign refunds/overrides where applicable.
