Job summary

ServiceMaster TEAM in Texas is seeking an experienced Lead Restoration Technician / Crew Chief to oversee field mitigation projects and lead restoration teams, ensuring drying, demolition and other restoration activities meet high standards. You will supervise techs, validate work quality, and coordinate with customers and insurers as needed.

You will work with customers, explain processes, and ensure documentation is accurate; training and leadership of junior staff are expected, with on-call

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of restoration industry both with and without insurance.
• Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record.
• Able to work independently or lead a team.
• Exhibit professionalism, maturity, and the willingness to serve the customer.
• Experience managing teams of 2 or more.
• Experience with entering data using a tablet or mobile phone.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and customer service skills.
• Must be able to prioritize activities and meet deadlines.
• Working on-call schedule is required.
• Certifications: ASD – Applied Structural Drying Technician; WRT – Water Damage Restoration Technician.

Responsibilities

• Retrieves work orders, checks route for travel, ensures equipment and supplies are loaded for the job.
• Completes assigned jobs according to company processes and maintains quality within budget.
• May monitor active residential/commercial jobs and communicate with customers.
• Maintains records of personnel and resources and communicates billable events.
• Inspects and scopes jobs onsite and works with appropriate individuals on scope.
• Documents loss with photos and uploads to system.
• May assist with estimates using Xactimate.
• Interfaces with adjusters and customers to resolve issues.
• Explains drying process and next steps to customers using printed materials.
• Prepares documentation to ensure insurance reimbursement.
• Mentors new technicians or operational team members.
