Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions seeks a Controller to lead the accounting functions of a fast-paced resort operation. You will supervise daily accounting operations, payroll for 1,000+ associates, and deliver timely financial reporting to the Finance leadership.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will ensure strong internal controls, GAAP adherence, and meaningful financial insight to guide resort decisions and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Five to ten years of progressively responsible Finance or Accounting experience.
• Hospitality accounting experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting & Close – Produce monthly and annual financial statements; oversee GL and closing processes; reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Accounting Operations – Direct accounts payable, accounts receivable, income audit, night audit, payroll and management reporting.
• Controls & Compliance – Ensure GAAP compliance, regulatory requirements, and internal controls; support audits.
• Payroll Oversight – Oversee payroll processing for 1,000+ associates; ensure accuracy and timely payment.
• Team Leadership – Develop Finance and Accounting staff; foster a collaborative environment.
• Business Partnership – Collaborate with department leaders and resort management to support operations.
• Process Improvement – Identify control and efficiency opportunities; implement scalable improvements.
• Resort Leadership – Participate in daily Promise meetings and resort events.
