Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting seeks an experienced Hotel/Resort Controller to join our leadership team in Florida. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting and forecasting, and development of the accounting team.

You will manage month-end close, prepare financial statements, and coordinate internal/external audits while mentoring the accounting staff and leading in the Director's absence.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting and internal controls.
• Experience with hotel systems Opera, POS, and MS Office.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting functions and month-end close processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reports.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.
• Coordinate internal and external audits.
• Serve as the accounting leader in the absence of the Director of Finance.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and labor management initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
