Job summary

HRB is seeking a Director of Finance for a prestigious resort/hotel in the Southwestern US. The role leads a sizable accounting team and partners with management, executives and owners to drive financial excellence.

You will oversee financial reporting, internal controls, cash flow, budgeting and forecasting, with focus on profitability and asset stewardship across resort operations including multi-outlet F&B, spas and golf facilities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in resort accounting and finance.
• Resort DOF training required.
• Must bring multi-outlet, multi-F&B resort expertise.
• Exposure to spas, golf courses and other resort services required.
• BS Degree required.
• MBA or CPA are helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide ethical and consistent leadership in the financial area of the hotel.
• Evaluate the financial impact on business decisions.
• Ensure management is notified of financial deviations.
• Manage cash flow and prepare cash-flow statements.
• Monitor revenues and expenses and investigate variances.
• Assist with capital planning and ROI calculations.
• Ensure compliance with licenses, permits, leases, contracts and taxes.
• Coordinate forecasts and budgets with the management team.
• Analyze financial data to aid management in meeting financial objectives.
• Reconcile balance sheets and maintain internal controls.
• Train and develop finance staff and maintain regulatory compliance.
• Prepare and review all financial reports per CHR requirements.
