Job summary

The Standard is seeking a Controller to safeguard the property’s financial integrity, overseeing daily accounting workflows and ensuring accurate reporting. This role reports to the VP of Finance and will lead the accounting team in managing revenue, payables, and cost controls across the hotel.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in hospitality finance with GAAP expertise, strong Excel skills, and experience with hotel systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field; CPA/MBA preferred.
• 3+ years in hospitality finance/ accounting management.
• Deep knowledge of hotel financial operations, USALI, GAAP.
• Strong Excel and financial reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of departmental, hotel, and corporate policies and procedures.
• Oversee daily income audit and review Daily Revenue Report; ensure accurate postings.
• Oversee accounts payable, vendor setup, and 1099 reporting.
• Ensure payroll processing and tip/distribution compliance.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reporting per corporate standards.
• Collaborate with departments and auditors on financial matters.
