Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is hiring a Designated Coordinator to oversee residential programs, guide direct support teams, and ensure regulatory compliance for individuals served under Minnesota Statute 245D. The role includes hands-on direct care and oversight of budgets and documentation.

The position offers a $2,000 hiring bonus and an annual salary of $48,500 with a 40% FTE or greater commitment. Onsite work with occasional emergencies is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree + 1 year direct care experience with individuals with disabilities or adults 65+.
• Associate degree + 2 years direct care experience.
• Diploma + 3 years direct care experience.
• 50 hours education/training + 4 years direct care experience under qualified supervision.
• Current CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certification (may be obtained after hire).
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory MVR.

Responsibilities

• Program Oversight: oversee one or more residential homes serving 4+ individuals.
• Service Delivery: ensure person-centered outcomes while safeguarding health and safety.
• Team Leadership: supervise and train direct support professionals.
• Compliance & Quality Assurance: monitor adherence to 245D requirements and policies.
• Collaboration: work with clinicians and community stakeholders to align support.
• Direct Care: provide hands-on support at least 16 hours.
• Staffing and Shift Coverage: manage schedules and coverage.
• Administrative Duties: manage budgets and regulatory communications.
