Citi’s Rockville, MD location is seeking a Senior Mortgage Lending Officer. You will originate high-quality residential real estate loans, engage with branch partners and referral sources, and drive mortgage sales while maintaining strong client relationships.

You will consult with clients, analyze financials, explain lending options, and coordinate with processors to ensure timely closings. This role requires 5–8 years in residential mortgages and knowledge of FHA/VA and conventional loans.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in residential mortgage lending.
• 1+ year in sales, credit or finance.
• FHA/VA and conventional loan experience preferred.
• Ability to explain financial calculations and pricing.
• Knowledge of consumer lending laws and regulations.

Responsabilités

• Consult with customers about financial situations and lending needs to achieve home ownership goals.
• Collect and analyze financial information, risk tolerance, goals, income, assets, debts, and credit history.
• Assess if customer and property may qualify for lending solutions.
• Recommend suitable lending solutions to meet objectives.
• Advise customers on risks and benefits of lending options.
• Promote Citi's lending services to real estate agents, builders, and clients.
• Visit customers outside Citi offices as needed.
• Collaborate with internal partners to grow mortgage business and client relationships.
• Coordinate with Operations to transfer loan applications and provide required documents to Processors/Underwriters.
• Assist in timely loan closings with Processors/Closers and customers.
• Develop referral relationships with Realtors, CPAs, builders, etc.
• Ensure risk controls and regulatory compliance in business decisions.
