Job summary

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in mortgage lending.
• Residential mortgage experience required.
• 1+ year previous sales, credit and/or finance experience required.
• Proven product sales capability is required.
• FHA/VA & conventional loan experience is preferred.
• Ability to comprehend and explain financial calculations and pricing.
• Knowledge of consumer lending laws, including fair lending, privacy, and RESPA.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong relationship development and management skills.
• Expertise of general lending products and overall mortgage industry.

Responsibilities

• Consult with customers about their financial situation, financial and personal objectives and lending needs.
• Collect and analyze information about the customer's financial situation, financial and personal goals, tolerance for risk and change, plans for the future, income, assets, debts, cash flow, and credit history.
• Analyze financial information for customers to assess whether they may qualify for a lending solution.
• Make recommendations to customers about which lending solutions would best meet their objectives.
• Advise customers about the consequences, risks, and benefits of lending options.
• Promote Citi's brand and lending services to real estate agents, builders, referral sources and customers.
• Visit customers outside of Citi's offices as needed.
• Work with internal partners to support and grow our customers.
• Refer customers to Citi professionals for other financial services.
• Partner with Operations to ensure smooth transfer of loan applications and gather needed information for Processors/Underwriters.
• Work with Processors/Closers to ensure timely closing of loans.
• Develop referral relationships with Realtors, CPAs, builders, etc.
• Assess risk and ensure compliance with laws and Citi policies.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and bank teams; introduce Citi Wealth Teams to clients.
