Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of residential electrical experience as a mechanic under a licensed contractor.
• High school diploma or GED (Watson training acceptable). Journeyman license preferred but not required.
• Ability to lead and manage a crew up to 5 people and coordinate materials.
• Knowledge of NEC and local codes; strong planning and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan new or modified installations to minimize material waste and ensure future maintenance access.
• Prepare sketches locating wiring and equipment from diagrams or blueprints.
• Observe equipment functions to determine hazards or need for adjustments or replacements.
• Repair faulty equipment or systems.
• Supervise and mentor workers; coordinate promotions, transfers, or disciplinary actions as needed.
• Analyze and resolve work problems; assist workers with issues.
• Possibly train new workers and interpret company policies and job orders.
• Interpret specifications and blueprints; assign duties and monitor progress.
• Complete required paperwork and requisition materials.
• Schedule work per job pace and coordinate with other trades.
• Enforce company safety, vehicle usage, and QA policies.
