Job summary
Day & Zimmermann is seeking an Electrical Engineer specializing in Renewables to join our Engineering Operations Services. You will design, oversee, and monitor electrical aspects of renewable energy projects, ensuring quality and compliance from conception through construction.
The role includes quotations, procurement coordination, field inspections, and potential supervisory duties. Ideal candidates hold ABET-accredited electrical degrees, PE licensure, and 6+ years of experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, ABET accredited.
- Master’s degree preferred, ABET accredited.
- State Board licensure as a Professional Engineer required; PE preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical design efforts for renewable energy projects and ensure compliance with codes.
- Develop scopes, manage changes, and coordinate with other disciplines and clients.
- Review design work for accuracy, constructability and regulatory compliance.
- Authenticate project documents with a PE stamp when designated.
- Support continuous improvement by integrating renewable technologies into design practices.
- Troubleshoot design and construction challenges to ensure project success.
