Job summary

Day & Zimmermann Company is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer specializing in renewables to design and oversee electrical aspects of renewable energy projects. You will develop design criteria, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to all project stages from scope through field inspections.

The role requires ABET-accredited degrees, 8+ years of engineering experience, and PE licensure considerations.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex projects in renewables or industrial electrical design.
• Strong written and verbal communication across teams and clients.
• In-depth knowledge of medium/low voltage systems, lighting and grounding.
• Proficient with NEC/IEEE/NEMA/NFPA standards.
• Ability to perform power system studies and 3D modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for renewable projects with code compliance.
• Develop detailed project scopes and manage changes and schedules.
• Coordinate design activities across disciplines and with clients.
• Review drawings for accuracy and constructability; PE stamp when designated.
• Support continuous improvement by adopting new renewable tech.
