Job summary

Qualifications

• Must possess an unencumbered nursing license in WI or IL.
• CPR certification must be current or obtained within two weeks of employment.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures.
• Interest/knowledge in care of the aged.
• Must read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Ability to interact tactfully with customers, families, visitors, and staff.
• Leadership and supervisory ability; team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and supervise nursing assistants daily.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards and facility policies.
• Conduct daily rounds and guidance to nursing staff on duties and procedures.
• Develop and implement care plans for residents.
• Maintain accurate nursing notes and charting; document changes.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
• Attend care plan conferences and communicate with physicians/families.
• Participate in staff orientation and ongoing training.
