Job summary

The Alden Network is seeking a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse to provide direct nursing care and supervise daily nursing activities. You will ensure high-quality care while adhering to regulatory standards and facility policies, with emphasis on patient well-being and teamwork.

Ideal candidates have strong leadership, English proficiency, and a passion for elder care, with ability to make independent decisions and coordinate with physicians and families.

Qualifications

• Must hold current, unencumbered RN or LPN license in WI or IL.
• CPR certification required or obtained within two weeks of employment.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures.
• Interest/knowledge in care of the aged.
• Must read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Ability to interact tactfully with customers, family, visitors, staff, and agencies.
• Leadership and supervisory ability; willing to work harmoniously with others.
• Personable, enthusiastic, and resourceful.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to customers and supervise day-to-day nursing activities by nursing assistants.
• Ensure supervision complies with Federal, State, and local standards and facility policies.
• Plan, direct, and evaluate nursing care for assigned unit and customers.
• Attend care plan conferences and participate in developing plans of care.
• Maintain accurate nursing notes and report concerns to the Administrator.
• Assist in admitting, transferring, and discharging customers and in medication administration.
