Job summary

The Alden Network is seeking a qualified nurse supervisor to oversee day-to-day nursing activities and guide nursing assistants in providing high-quality care. This role requires strong clinical skills, leadership, and a focus on patient well-being within a facility setting.

Responsibilities include developing care plans, ensuring policy compliance, coordinating medications, and documenting patient progress. Excellent communication with physicians, families, and staff is essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current, unencumbered RN or LPN license in IL and/or WI.
• CPR certification required or obtained within two weeks of employment.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and elderly care.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Ability to make independent decisions when needed.
• Strong interpersonal skills with customers and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and supervise nursing assistants daily.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local standards and facility policies.
• Plan and direct care for each customer and maintain care plans.
• Lead and train staff to follow policies and proper dress code.
• Coordinate orders, medications, and treatments per physician orders.
• Document care notes and maintain accurate records.
• Attend care conferences and communicate with physicians and families.
