Job summary

The Alden is seeking an experienced registered nurse or licensed practical nurse to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants. This role ensures the highest quality of care in line with federal, state, and local standards and facility policies.

Ideal candidates will hold an active IL or WI RN/LPN license with CPR certification and a solid knowledge of nursing practices.

Qualifications

Must possess a current, unencumbered RN or LPN license in IL and/or WI.
CPR certification within two weeks of employment.
Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures.
Interest or knowledge in elder care.
Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.
Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
Leadership and supervisory abilities and ability to work with diverse people.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants.
Ensure nursing procedures follow federal, state, and local standards and facility policies.
Plan, develop, and direct unit operations and care plans.
Oversee daily rounds and ensure adherence to care plans and policies.
Attend care plan conferences and communicate with physicians and families.
Maintain accurate nursing documentation and reports.
