Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a part-time RN Shift Lead I to provide leadership and clinical expertise on the day shift in our Butte, MT unit. The role focuses on coordinating staffing to census and acuity while supporting staff and maintaining professional standards.

The incumbent will supervise patient care, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with the staffing office to adjust personnel as needed. A BSN is required, plus MT RN license and BLS certification on hire.

Qualifications

• BSN degree from an accredited program required within 4 years (unless 15 years of acute care service).
• Current State of Montana RN License.
• BLS Certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and/or provides direct patient care; assists and supports staff in addressing patient/family concerns, physician concerns, risk management, safety, and hospital operations.
• Responds to patient emergencies as needed and acts as lead for disasters when required.
• Collaborates with staffing office to adjust staff numbers for census changes during shift.
• Communicates census, staffing, admissions, and discharges to the oncoming Charge Nurse to guide assignments.
• Supports unit management in productivity, staffing, and timekeeping, and coordinates unit activities.
