Job summary

Modigent is seeking a Foreman I - Refrigerant to lead a refrigerant technician crew in commercial HVAC installations, repairs, and startups across buildings, hospitals, schools, and industrial facilities. You will coordinate on-site activities, mentor team members, ensure EPA compliance, and uphold safety standards while meeting schedule, budget, and client expectations.

Reporting to the Superintendent, you will supervise daily tasks, review work with project teams, manage takeoffs and material

Qualifications

• 4+ years in commercial HVAC refrigerant piping installation or repair.
• Journeyman-level knowledge or ability to obtain license/certification.
• Experience supervising a field crew and coordinating on-site tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead refrigerant technician crew on daily tasks, including installation and startup.
• Provide guidance, training, and safety direction to the crew.
• Ensure EPA compliance and safe handling of refrigerants.
• Coordinate with the superintendent and project team on site surveys and progress.
• Prepare weekly safety, production, and preconstruction reports.
• Maintain on-site scheduling, material control, and tool/equipment management.
• Mentor crew and drive continuous improvement.
