Volunteers of America Mid-States in Louisville, KY is seeking a Recovery Support Technician who will transport program participants to court, medical appointments, activities, and other services as needed. The role emphasizes safety and supportive guidance within the Recovery Community Center.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license and clean driving record, pass background checks, and demonstrate at least one year of sobriety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must pass background check and driver record check.
• Minimum of 1 year of sobriety.

Responsibilities

• Transport participants to meetings, groups, and appointments as needed.
• Maintain operational control of the facility in the absence of senior staff.
• Ensure clients’ compliance with Volunteers of America policies and rules.
• Maintain van sign-in/sign-out log.
• Monitor clients in van and facility and their behavior.
• Complete required documentation.
• Attend training and supervision.
• Observe and report maintenance needs and safety hazards.
• Provide transportation for clients.
• Provide childcare.
• Observe and report maintenance needs and safety hazards.
• Perform PQI duties as assigned by supervision and PQI Committee.
