Job summary

Roche Bros. Supermarkets is seeking a Lead Receiver in Acton, MA to oversee the receiving process across all departments and lead a team of receivers.

You will ensure accurate processing, proper invoicing, and adherence to food safety standards in a fast-paced grocery environment. The role reports to the store manager and collaborates with department managers to maintain store-wide receiving accuracy and product quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a receiving or related role; grocery/retail experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
• Familiarity with Direct Store Delivery (DSD) systems, food safety standards, and general merchandise handling.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all receiving operations and train support receivers.
• Manage daily invoicing and store-to-store transfer submissions.
• Ensure items meet specifications and resolve discrepancies with managers.
• Record temperature logs and perform random quality checks for perishables.
• Organize backroom areas, enforce receiving hours, and secure access.
• Maintain detailed receiving records for audits and inventory.
