Job summary

Roche Bros is seeking a Lead Receiver at our Acton, MA location. The role leads a team of receivers, ensuring accurate checks, recordings, and processing of deliveries while upholding food safety and quality standards.

You will report to the store manager and collaborate with department managers to maintain efficient receiving across all store departments, including perishable items, with a strong emphasis on accountability and process discipline.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a receiving or related role; grocery or retail experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
• Familiarity with Direct Store Delivery (DSD) systems and food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee receiving operations and standardize procedures for perishable and non-perishable items.
• Supervise support receivers and assign tasks based on store needs; ensure training.
• Manage daily invoicing and submissions for store transfers; ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain records of receiving activities, quality checks, and temperature/weight logs.
• Collaborate with department managers to verify item specifications and resolve discrepancies.
• Enforce controlled backroom access and receiving hours; uphold cleanliness and security.
