Job summary

Roche Bros. Supermarkets is seeking a Produce Associate in Massachusetts to stock, merchandise, and maintain high standards of freshness and presentation.

You will operate across multiple stores, ensuring accurate pricing and inventory control while delivering outstanding customer service. The role requires ServSafe certification, strong English communication, and the ability to work independently with initiative.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful experience in produce operations including merchandising, ordering, inventory and pricing.
• Complete the produce associate training program.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and show initiative.
• ServSafe certification is required.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English and follow instructions.
• Authorized to work in the United States and able to work across multiple stores.

Responsibilities

• Provide an open-door atmosphere with high associate morale and excellent customer service.
• Maintain the produce department per merchandising plans, standards, and schedules.
• Ensure product is fresh, well displayed, labeled, and rotated (FIFO).
• Assist with inventory, ordering, pricing, and cost control for the department.
• Lead department meetings, delegate tasks, and communicate effectively with team.
• Respond to customer questions and resolve complaints to satisfaction.
• Adhere to safety, sanitation, and state/federal regulations in all duties.
• Coordinate with store management on schedules and wage policies.
