Job summary

Roche Bros. Supermarkets is seeking a Lead Receiver to maintain an efficient receiving process across store departments. You will supervise a team of receivers, ensure accurate invoicing and transfers, and uphold food safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a receiving or related role; grocery or retail experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Direct Store Delivery (DSD) systems, food safety standards, and general merchandise handling.
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee receiving operations with standardized procedures for perishable and non-perishable items.
• Supervise support receivers, assign tasks, and ensure proper training.
• Manage daily processing and submission of invoices and store-to-store transfers; ensure credits for damages and returns.
• Maintain accountability through reporting to the store manager and collaboration with department managers.
• Conduct random quality checks and weight verifications; record temperature logs for food safety compliance.
• Organize backroom areas and enforce receiving hours; oversee security of receiving area.
• Oversee centralized receiving for groceries, dairy, frozen, GM, HBC, and designated perishables; ensure accurate receiving and stocking.
• Maintain detailed records of receiving activities, including counts, inspections, temperature and weight logs.
