Job summary

Transco Rail Services, part of Marmon Holdings, seeks a Railcar Paint & Blast Supervisor in Oelwein, IA. This hands-on leader will direct repair operations, oversee hourly staff, and ensure safe, compliant execution of all shop floor activities.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and delivery performance with opportunities to coach and develop a skilled workforce in a regulated industrial environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 5+ years of experience in railcar repair, manufacturing, or industrial operations.
• FRA regulations and AAR Interchange Rules knowledge.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings.
• Prior supervisory or team-leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop hourly employees on repair activities.
• Drive safe work practices and ensure adherence to safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, FRA, AAR, company, and customer requirements.
• Monitor daily production, track work in progress, and update job status.
• Participate in daily production meetings and communicate progress updates.
• Collaborate with Quality and EHS to maintain compliance and audit readiness.
