Job summary

Transco Rail Services, part of Marmon Holdings, is seeking a 2nd Shift Mechanical Railcar Repair Supervisor in Oelwein, IA. You will lead frontline operations, coach hourly employees, and ensure safe, efficient, and compliant repair activities on the shop floor.

The role requires 5+ years in railcar repair or industrial operations with supervisory experience, and familiarity with FRA/AAR rules. Competitive base salary with a 10% production bonus and full benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of experience in railcar repair, manufacturing, or industrial operations.
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Knowledge of FRA regulations and AAR Interchange Rules.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop hourly employees across repair activities.
• Drive safe work practices and ensure adherence to all safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, FRA, AAR, company, and customer requirements.
• Monitor daily production, track work in process, and update job status.
• Participate in daily production meetings and communicate progress updates.
• Partner with Quality and EHS teams to maintain compliance and audit readiness.
• Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of employees.
• Manage materials and equipment in coordination with Materials leadership.
• Identify improvement opportunities and support process enhancements.
• Address employee relations matters, including coaching and corrective actions.
