Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a Diagnostic Technologist, Lead to perform quality control on radiology images and coordinate workflow within Radiology. You will ensure high-quality images, accurate labeling, and timely reporting to radiologists, while supporting after-hours leadership and collaborating with IS to keep Radiology systems running smoothly.

The role requires ARRT registration and BLS CPR, with at least one year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist;

Qualifications

• ARRT registered in Radiologic Technology.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Radiologic Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical quality review of images obtained in Diagnostic Radiology, ensuring images are high quality and provide adequate diagnostic information.
• Verifies that images are accurately labeled and patient information is managed during digital acquisition, transmission, and storage.
• Coordinates workflow within Radiology to facilitate image acquisition and reporting of results using tracking monitors.
• Collaborates with IS to ensure efficient operation of Radiology systems and software.
• Resolves PACS exceptions and assists with downtime procedures as needed.
