Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a Diagnostic Technologist to prepare patients and perform radiographic procedures, producing high quality images for timely radiologist interpretation. You will support teaching and cross-training programs and participate in performance improvement.

The role requires ARRT registered or registry-eligible, VA license, BLS, and 3 years experience preferred.

Qualifications

• ARRT registered or registry-eligible in Radiologic Technology; must pass Registry exam within one year if eligible.
• Complete an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program or equivalent.
• VA State Radiologic Technologist License is required for outpatient facilities.
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• Three years relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiology examinations by confirming orders and verifying identities.
• Perform radiology examinations on all age groups with competency.
• Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, standards and protocols.
• Maintain a safe environment and follow radiation safety practices.
• Supervise and instruct students; support cross-training programs.
• Maintain inventory of supplies to ensure uninterrupted services.
• Document data for billing and department operations.
