Job summary

Westlake Pipe & Fittings seeks a Lead Quality Inspector to perform specified quality tests on finished pipe products and to assume the Supervisor role when the regular supervisor is unavailable.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least three years in production or quality control, with proficiency in micrometers, calipers, and related measurement tools. Safety and compliance are essential in this manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 3 years’ experience or training in production and/or quality control.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Conduct morning final inspection of production for the previous 24 hours.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and perform assigned tasks.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Perform duties of A, B, and C Quality Assurance Technicians as required.
• Check finished goods quality, including those loaded for delivery and returns.
• Review stock, identify damaged products, and remove from inventory as needed.
• Operate testing equipment and manage adjustments, setup, and changes.
• Record accurate paperwork and data in SAP and spreadsheets.
• Update operator logs and communicate quality issues to management.
