Job summary

Westlake Pipe & Fittings in Kansas seeks a Lead Quality Inspector to perform specified quality tests on finished pipe products and assume supervisor duties when the regular supervisor is absent.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED with three years of production/quality control experience, and proficiency with measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, OD tapes). You will ensure compliance with NSF, UL and ASTM standards and maintain accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required and three years’ experience or training in production and/or quality control.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and to communicate findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Conduct morning final inspection of the previous 24 hours of production.
• Perform duties of QA Technicians and verify quality of finished goods and returned items.
• Ensure products meet Westlake, NSF, UL and ASTM standards and stay within specifications.
• Represent Westlake during agency audits in the absence of the QA Supervisor.
• Operate testing equipment, adjust setups, log results, and maintain accurate paperwork (SAP and spreadsheets).
