Job summary

Westlake Pipe & Fittings seeks a Lead Quality Inspector to oversee product quality and take on supervisory duties in the Supervisor’s absence. Responsibilities include daily production inspections, adherence to safety standards, and accurate documentation, with hands-on use of micrometers, calipers, and testing gear.

Candidates should have a HS diploma or GED and 3 years in production or quality control, capable of reading technical docs and generating reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus production/quality control training.
• Ability to read safety rules and manuals and write routine reports.
• Math skills to compute rates, ratios and graphs.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions precisely.

Responsibilities

• Conduct morning final inspection of previous 24 hours of production.
• Ensure safe, clean work environment and perform duties as directed.
• Check finished goods quality and accept/reject stock as needed.
• Operate testing equipment and adjust as required, maintain logs.
• Record data in SAP and other spreadsheets; communicate issues to management.
