Job summary

Westlake Pipe & Fittings is seeking a Lead Quality Inspector to ensure product quality and to assume Supervisor duties when required. The role focuses on conducting morning inspections, verifying finished goods meet standards, and maintaining documentation.

You will work with micrometers, calipers, and other tools, follow NSF/UL/ASTM standards, and coordinate with Plant Management on quality issues. Previous experience in production or QC and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus 3 years experience in production and/or quality control.
• Ability to read safety rules and procedures; write routine reports; speak to groups.
• Strong numerical and measurement skills; ability to interpret graphs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct morning final inspection of previous 24 hours of production.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and follow supervisor instructions.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Perform duties of A, B, and C Quality Assurance Technicians.
• Check finished goods quality, including those loaded for delivery and returned goods.
• Review stock and identify damaged product to remove from inventory.
• Operate testing equipment and perform adjustments, set up, changeovers.
• Record and maintain accurate paperwork; data entry in SAP and spreadsheets.
• Update operator logs and communicate quality issues to Plant Management.
