Job summary

Ford Energy is seeking a Quality Engineer for its Glendale, Kentucky battery park. You will drive advanced quality standards across the launch and ongoing operations, leading an agile team to set up robust processes.

Work will involve data-driven problem solving, SPC oversight, and collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, and Suppliers to achieve KPIs. This is a 24/7 startup environment with strong emphasis on lean practices and quality integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, or related field).
• 3+ years of manufacturing process or quality engineering experience in an automated manufacturing facility.
• Master’s degree in Engineering or MBA is a plus; Lean Six Sigma and related capabilities are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles to drive continuous improvement in automated battery manufacturing processes.
• Establish and monitor quality target levels at the workstation level for each build phase.
• Manage SPC activities using control charts, data collection, and GD&T to minimize variation.
• Conduct process audits to ensure compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and IATF 16949.
• Support PFMEA and risk assessment to address quality risks proactively.
