Job summary

Ford Motor Company, BlueOval Battery Park Michigan, seeks a Quality Engineering Specialist to drive quality across lithium-ion battery cell manufacturing. You will monitor SPC data, lead CAPA, and coach PQE technicians while aligning with Ford safety and process standards.

The role requires strong problem solving, Six Sigma knowledge, and cross-functional leadership in a fast-paced startup environment within the electrification initiative.

Qualifications

High school diploma or higher with engineering focus.
Ability to read technical drawings and process docs.
Strong problem solving and leadership skills.
Knowledge of SPC, Minitab, PFMEA and control plans.
Experience with Six Sigma methods and data analysis.

Responsibilities

Respond to daily quality abnormalities and lead containment actions.
Monitor SPC, FAI, MES inspections and material control.
Manage change control and implement control plans and PFMEA.
Identify quality risks and drive preventive actions.
Analyze production quality metrics and drive CAPA.
Lead quality improvement projects using 8D, 5-Why and FMEA.
Support process audits and Layered Process Audits.
Ensure compliance with safety standards.
Coach PQE technicians and perform other duties.
