Job summary

Ford Motor Company in Glendale, KY is seeking a Senior Maintenance Engineer to act as the technical authority for maintenance across battery cell and BESS lines. You will own maintenance strategy, drive reliability improvements, and standardize processes across sites as Ford Energy expands its footprint.

You will lead predictive maintenance, oversee major rebuilds and capital projects, and mentor staff to build a high-performance maintenance culture.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
7+ years of progressive maintenance engineering experience, including leading complex equipment reliability programs and mentoring staff.
Advanced computer proficiency and strong communication skills needed to train and coach technicians and engineers.

Responsibilities

Own and evolve the Maintenance Operating System (MOS) strategy across production and facilities.
Lead cross-functional optimization of production processes and maintenance methodologies for battery cell and BESS equipment.
Direct major equipment rebuilds, capital projects, and shutdown planning with engineering, operations and site leadership.
Architect and govern predictive and preventative maintenance to achieve near-100% uptime.
Own MOS Board and enterprise maintenance data strategy; leverage Maximo for metrics reporting, forecasting, and reliability planning.
Mentor and develop technicians and engineers; lead by example on the floor.
