Job summary

Markent Personnel, Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor for a confidential beverage manufacturer in the Silver Spring area, MD.

The role leads QA staff in the lab and on the production floor, ensuring products meet quality, food safety, and regulatory standards. The position requires 1–3 years in manufacturing QA, an associate degree in a related field, familiarity with lab testing, and skills in communication and team development.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or comparable education in biology, chemistry, food science, health sciences or related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant QA/manufacturing experience in a beverage environment.
• Experience with laboratory testing and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with HPLC and GC methodologies is a plus.
• Strong analytical, math and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and team development skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA personnel on the production floor and in the laboratory.
• Coach team members and provide performance feedback.
• Review laboratory results and investigate exceptions.
• Support audits and regulatory/compliance activities.
• Partner with Production and other departments to resolve quality issues.
• Oversee documentation, training, and internal audits.
• Identify process improvements based on quality data.
• Prepare for regulatory, certification and customer audits.
• Drive continuous improvement to sustain product quality.
