Professional Recruiting Consultants, Inc. seeks a Quality Assurance Supervisor for a confidential beverage manufacturer in the Silver Spring, MD area. The role leads QA staff on the lab and production floor to ensure quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance, coaching and driving continuous improvement.

The position requires an associate degree and 1–3 years in manufacturing QA, with experience in HPLC/GC and beverage processes. First shift with some weekend/holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical education in biology, chemistry, food science or health sciences.
• 1–3 years of manufacturing QA experience.
• Experience with laboratory testing in a manufacturing setting.
• Knowledge of sanitation and beverage processes.
• Familiarity with HPLC and GC.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and team development.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Availability for first shift with possible additional coverage.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA personnel, organize daily activities, and set expectations for quality, safety, and performance.
• Develop team through training and feedback.
• Partner with Production to resolve quality issues and support food safety.
• Oversee QA programs, documentation, and internal audits.
• Maintain compliance with specs, regulations, and customer expectations.
• Review lab data, investigate exceptions, and identify trends.
• Recommend process improvements based on data.
• Prepare for audits and inspections.
• Lead continuous improvement to strengthen quality and customer satisfaction.
