Job summary

Accounting Search is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor for a confidential beverage manufacturer in the Silver Spring area of MD. Base salary ranges from $65,000 to $75,000, with first shift and potential additional shifts based on operational needs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or comparable college education in biology, chemistry, food science or related discipline.
• 1–3 years of relevant work experience in QA/manufacturing.
• Experience in food/beverage manufacturing and knowledge of related practices.
• Familiarity with lab equipment and testing in production settings.
• Knowledge of sanitation, beverage processes, and microbiology/aseptic techniques.
• Familiarity with HPLC and GC in quality testing.
• Strong analytical, math, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, organization, and team development abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability for first shift with potential overtime.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA personnel, organize daily activities, and set expectations for quality and safety.
• Develop team through training and performance feedback.
• Collaborate with Production to address quality concerns and uphold food safety.
• Oversee quality programs, documentation, audits, and training.
• Ensure compliance with specifications, regulations, and customer requirements.
• Review lab data, investigate exceptions, and identify trends for corrective action.
• Recommend process improvements based on quality findings.
• Prepare for audits and participate in regulatory certifications.
