Job summary

MYR Group Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager for Transmission and Distribution to drive the QA/QC program across projects, audit work, and train staff on quality fundamentals.

You will act as the primary quality liaison with client inspectors and ensure compliance with contract specifications and codes. The role requires expertise in NESC/NEC, root-cause analysis, and the ability to tour job sites or offices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in the electrical construction industry.
• Prior experience working in a quality assurance or control position.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Journeyman Lineman working on electrical construction projects preferred
• 2+ years in a QA/QC supervisory or leadership capacity preferred

Responsibilities

• Create and establish a QA/QC standard program across company for the Transmission and Distribution organization.
• Develop and maintain inspection and test plans (ITPs) and project-specific quality management plans (QMPs) in alignment with contract client requirements.
• Prepare and complete project construction quality review checklists and required documentation.
• Manage the non-conformance (NCR) process, including root cause analysis, corrective action, and verification of closure.
• Review and approve subcontractor and supplier quality submittals, material certifications, and calibration records for inspection/test equipment.
• Submit quality reporting to management.
• Work with district management to address and improve quality practices throughout the duration of the project.
• May oversee the work of other members of the quality department.
• Appraise customer's requirements and ensure acceptance, serving as the primary quality liaison with client inspectors and third-party inspection agencies.
• Maintain records of quality reports and relevant documentation for submission to owner or owner representatives at project closeout.
• Understand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards.
