Job summary

Digitas is seeking a Lead Engineer in Test to drive QA automation across complex digital ecosystems. You will lead automation strategy, mentor distributed teams, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to modernize testing approaches, including AI-assisted techniques and scalable frameworks.

The role emphasizes hands-on programming, Playwright and API testing, and integration with CI/CD pipelines, to deliver high-quality solutions for major brands.

Qualifications

• Experience designing scalable test automation frameworks from scratch using Python or Node.js.
• Advanced Playwright implementation for cross-browser UI automation with robust handling of flaky tests.
• Programmatic API testing using Playwright APIRequestContext or libraries like requests.
• API/Hybrid testing to optimize execution time by bypassing UI when possible.
• Experience with CI/CD integration and Docker-based test execution.
• Strong understanding of Design Patterns and SOLID principles for maintainable automation code.
• Knowledge of modern frontend concepts (HTML, CSS/XPath) and JS frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA automation activities across a range of digital initiatives.
• Define and evolve QA strategy, frameworks, and tooling.
• Oversee testing of web applications, APIs, and integrated platforms.
• Incorporate AI-driven testing approaches to improve coverage and speed.
