Job summary

Fulcronix is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to design scalable automation frameworks for web apps and APIs, and to own end-to-end testing in a fast-paced environment.

You will implement Playwright-based tests, integrate pipelines with GitLab CI/CD, and collaborate with DevOps, product, and development teams to ensure release quality. Mentoring juniors and driving QA best practices are part of the role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in QA Automation Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright automation framework.
• Strong knowledge of GitLab CI/CD pipeline integration and automation execution; experience with Jira and Qmetry for test management and defect tracking.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools such as Amazon Q and Kiro.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with API automation and testing tools.
• Knowledge of Git version control.
• Experience with database validation and SQL queries.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web applications and APIs.
• Create and execute automated test scripts using Playwright and other modern automation tools.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Integrate automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment validation and release quality.
• Utilize AI-powered tools to improve testing efficiency and debugging.
• Work with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to understand testing needs.
• Manage and track test cases, defects, and QA processes using Jira and Qmetry.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and Agile ceremonies.
• Perform API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar platforms.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and provide detailed defect reports.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to QA best practices.
