Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Lead QA Engineer for the AI Team in Chicago. You will head a small QA group, drive automation with Playwright, and partner with DevOps and Product to ensure quality in a CI/CD workflow.

You will engage in performance/load testing, scripting in JavaScript/TypeScript/Python, and push for early testing throughout the software lifecycle in a hybrid work setup (3 days onsite, 2 days remote).

Qualifications

• 7+ years of QA Engineering experience.
• Must have both Automated AND Manual Testing experience.
• 3+ years of experience with Automated Testing.
• Must have strong Playwright experience.
• 2+ years of experience leading QA Engineering or SDET teams/projects.
• 2+ years of experience with scripting/programming using JavaScript, TypeScript, Python or similar.
• Experience leading QA efforts in Agile, CI/CD environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases from requirements.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks for functional, regression, load and performance testing.
• Build and automate test scripts using Playwright and integrate into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with product, development, and DevOps teams to define goals and acceptance criteria.
• Own QA process end-to-end with thorough coverage across development stages.
• Define and track quality metrics to measure test effectiveness and stability.
• Investigate and resolve test failures with root-cause analysis with developers.
• Maintain test documentation including plans, cases, automation logic, and defect reports.
• Continuously evaluate new tools/methodologies to improve QA practices.
